Artist: Merci Ewuresi

Merci Ewuresi is a multidisciplinary visual artist and researcher of Austrian and Ghanaian descent. Her diverse artistic practice spans painting, collage, videography, and photography, through which she explores themes of connectivity, womanhood, and cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from decolonial and Black Anarchist feminist theory, Ewuresi seeks to infuse these perspectives into her creative expression. Recently, she has been experimenting with natural paints, using locally sourced materials such as rocks and soil from her surroundings, including nearby waterfalls, to bring a deeper connection to the environment into her art.
